Food & Drink From 'Hendricks’ Bar, that has a moveable ‘cocktail station’ so that Bartenders can create your desired tipple at your seat to ‘Suq’ buffet-style restaurant where different stations include Asian, Thai, Sushi, Mediterranean and Salads, Jess and Dale are certain that the resort is going to be a hit with those who appreciate good food and drink. Even though the hotel wasn’t open during their visit, the food stations at Suq were, so our pair sampled some superb Sushi, freshly prepared by the Sushi Chef, that included fresh smoked salmon, as well as other delights such as Dim Sum pure heaven! Jess' favourite highlight was ‘Mercury’ rooftop lounge where the focal point is a vodka bar in the form of the planet Mercury. From up here, there is a gorgeous view of the 27-metre-long sandy beach and we're told that the bar will also have a resident DJ which will no doubt make it a very cool place to chill out.

Spa & Fitness Downstairs there is a lovely luxury spa with an indoor pool where music is very cleverly played under the water, along with a steam room, whirlpool, chill experience, rain tunnels and a scrub bar, while the huge size of the gym completely amazed Jess. There is also an outdoor pool and Jess and Dale loved that at the touch of a button guests can call for service or press the 'do not disturb' option messages that are received by staff wearing a special watch, so they know which guests want assistance and when. Genius!

Rooms With A View The resort's location is just ten minutes from Downtown Dubai so guest rooms with a city view overlook the towering Burj Khalifa in the distance, while other rooms have a beach view, and some have both. All rooms interconnect too so offer flexible options for families, for example a one-bedroom suite can easily become a two-bedroom suite. Great little touches also include in-mirror televisions in the bathrooms, while mattresses can be made as soft or as hard as you like by zipping on extra mattress toppers.

In conclusion, Jess and Dale say that the resort really has thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They are looking forward to spending longer there on their next visit to Dubai. To read about the rest of their Dubai trip, please click here.
