Description

Banjaar Tola is a ninety-acre concession that can be found in close proximity to the entrance of Kahna National Park, one of the best-maintained national parks in India. This is prime tiger territory and a superb area to appreciate the resident wildlife, which includes over three-hundred species of birds (woodpeckers, peacocks, cuckoos, herons and bee-eaters, amongst others), as well as sloths, deer, foxes, hyenas, monkeys, leopards and, of course, tigers. Two intimate camps - each featuring nine luxurious Tented Guest Suites - sit alongside the banks of Banjaar River, overlooking Kanha National Park's stunning scenery, comprising rolling meadows, trees and bamboo and while here, guests can enjoy activities such as twice-daily 4x4 safaris, bird-watching, elephant-back safaris (subject to availability) and sumptuous, romantic lamplit dinners in the midst of the jungle. Chic and glamorous, this bijou camp, accommodating up to thirty-six guests at one time, delivers an intimate safari experience, particularly special for guests wishing to view the large numbers of tigers, leopards and birds that reside in the park.
