Location and transfer
Approximately a two and a half hour light aircraft transfer from Windhoek International Airport.
All en suite tents feature a private outdoor deck from which to view the eerie moonscape environment of the Namibian outback and provide tea/coffee making facilities, bathrobes and slippers, bathroom amenities, a personal safe and a daily maid service.
Freshly prepared meals are served either in the luxurious dining area or al fresco, beneath starry skies.
Morning and/or afternoon drives game drives, taken in open 4 x 6-seater Land Cruisers, along the Hoanib River and floodplains, Mudorib Spring and south into the Palmwag Concession, showcase the magnitude of the landscape, providing opportunities to view the desert-adapted lion and elephant as well as the elusive shaggy brown hyena, the black-backed jackal and the roaming oryx, giraffe and springbok.
Nature walks provide good opportunities to study the smaller creatures as well as the fascinating plant life such as the ancient Welwitschia plant.
Guests staying for longer (3 to 5 nights) may enjoy a scenic flight excursion (weather permitting) over massive dunefields, the Auses Spring and the Hoanib floodplains to the rugged Skeleton coastline with its seal colony and shipwrecks.
