The Old Sugar House 5 bedrooms, sleeping up to 10 guests This magnificent villa situated above the famous ‘Mullins Beach’ on the west coast has provided the picture-perfect setting for romantic weddings for many Elegant Resorts clients and members of staff over the years. Elegant yet informal, this private retreat offers panoramic views over the plantation fields to the Caribbean Sea and all the comforts of home. Classic, luxury décor combining original antiques and calm neutral colours, create a laid-back atmosphere. Outdoors there is a swimming pool deck, which overlooks the crystal clear sea, making the perfect spot for relaxing during the day and drinking in the gorgeous sun sets in the evenings. When it comes to resting your head, there are master suites both upstairs and downstairs, with indoor/outdoor showers, walk in wardrobes, cable television and DVD players, while the three other bedrooms have en suite shower rooms. Larger parties can also convert the television room into a twin bedroom, with use of a shower room.

Illusion at Sugar Hill Estate 5 bedrooms, sleeping up to 10 guests Inspired by the design of the luxurious Sandy Lane hotel, Illusion has been custom-built to provide a contemporary and impressive residence featuring five en suite bedrooms, each with a private covered terrace. As you walk through the large glass front doors you’ll be greeted by an uninterrupted view of the Caribbean Sea, while the foyer spills out onto a covered terrace that overlooks the large swimming pool. From here dual staircases lead down to the pool area and guarantee a sweeping entrance for you and your bridal party, while palm trees form a natural arch to guide you to the perfect spot for your nuptials. For your wedding breakfast there is a formal dining with a beautiful kitchen with doors that open on three sides to a wraparound balcony. There’s a grand piano in the entrance hall too, so you could even have soft music played to create the atmosphere or dance away into the evening. If there are any golfers in your wedding party, they will be pleased to learn that the villa has its own putting green as well.

Stanford House, St James 5 bedrooms, sleeping up to 10 guests It’s hardly surprising that Stanford House is a popular venue for an intimate wedding. Built on one level and offering spacious accommodation both indoors and outdoors, it’s well suited to outdoor living and entertaining. A maximum of fifty guests can be hosted here and the Romanesque gazebo which is covered in sparkling fairy lights and set against a backdrop of the villa’s infinity pool and Caribbean Sea is a fairytale spot to exchange vows with your beloved. With grounds extending to over one acre that include tropical gardens, terraces and water features, there is plenty of room for your guests to spread out, while there is a fully-equipped bar to keep refreshments close to hand and a covered barbecue area provides one catering option. For those staying at the villa, there is a large open-plan lounge to relax in, a fully-equipped kitchen and a media room, while a dip in the outdoor Jacuzzi will soon send you into a complete state of relaxation.

Fustic House, St Lucy 7 bedrooms, sleeping up to 14 guests Built in the early 18th century from coral stone and re-designed between the late 60s and early 70s by celebrated English theatrical designer Oliver Messel, this villa has a stately feel and exudes traditional charm. Indoor and outdoor spaces seamlessly flow throughout the eleven acres and the location on top of a coral ridge provides unforgettable views of the sea and a peaceful park of mahogany trees and a koi-filled lotus lake. It’s an enchanting setting for a picture perfect wedding or entertaining al fresco-style. The natural lagoon-shaped pool designed by Messel, is fed by ionised water – similar to swimming in a natural spring – and at night the pool takes on a magical feel as it is lit up. The expansive sun deck adjacent to the pool, is built over the ravine within the trees – almost like a giant tree house. It’s equally impressive at night when more spectacular lighting creates a romantic mood. We’re sure you’ll agree, it’s very easy to picture yourself saying ‘I do’ here. You’ll also find seven luxury suites spread across four wings, while the reception room boasts a high-tech home cinema, so you and your guests will enjoy the best in privacy.

The Great House, St Peter 8 bedroom, sleeping up to 16 guests
(4 extra guests may be accommodated for an additional fee)

Enjoy a stunning beach ceremony and a perfect wedding reception in the beautiful grounds. The residence has long been a favourite with the rich and famous looking or privacy and space. Enter the main house through the entrance hall and you’ll find reception rooms, a piano room, wrap-around covered terraces and a one bedroom suite opening onto a courtyard, whilst upstairs there are a further three bedroom suites with balconies. Within the grounds there are four chattel houses arranged in two pairs – the Pink Chattels and the Blue Chattels – named after the colours of their linens and fabrics. Each pair interlinks, making them ideal for families with younger children, and each opens onto their own veranda, with the gardens beyond. The pièce de résistance is The Great House’s 30-foot-long pleasure boat, complete with boatman, available to guests throughout their stay (from 9am to 5pm, for just the price of fuel).

Greensleeves, St Peter 9 bedrooms, sleeping up to 18 guests
(6 extra guests may be accommodated in the children’s wing)
As you'd expect, this ultimate villa, which is set within eleven acres, offers ultimate weddings. There is direct access to two west coast beaches and lots of intimate garden areas to hold your wedding ceremony. These include a unique Japanese water garden brimming with colourful koi carp and where pretty little hummingbirds flit between the trees. Raised teak walkways connect the pond and gardens and as you move through the property you will enjoy views of the pool and with pool and sea views beyond. The captivating free-form pool is nothing short of a spectacular tropical oasis, boasting a mini island complete with a swim-up bar – a cool drink is never far away. Once you’ve ‘tied the knot,’ retire to the sun deck for pre-dinner drinks before the Indonesian dinner gong sounds to call you to for your gourmet wedding breakfast prepared by the villa’s Chef in one of a number of dining locations. Thoughtful extras at this villa include an air-conditioned gym, home cinema and a park across the road where you’ll find a tennis court, so there are plenty of things to do for anyone staying here. Nine en suite bedrooms with private terraces provide luxurious accommodation, while a two-bedroom children’s wing comes complete with a jungle gym, kitchen, lounge and an adjoining nanny suite, perfect for little guests.
