Eleven guest lodges are dotted along the edge of the resort, each one offering differently configured accommodation, but all with spectacular views. Each guest room or suite boasts a queen or king-size bed, luxury bed linen and a goosedown duvet, a complimentary mini-bar, hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers, wet weather gear, rubber boots and an en suite bathroom. Additionally, there is a twice-daily maid service.

Salish Lodge:+

  • Facilities: Salish Lodge can accommodate up to ten guests and offers three deluxe bedrooms, each with two queen-size beds and an en suite bathroom. Cedar furniture, native artwork and a palette of cream and red prevail throughout, while the living accommodation comprises a lounge with a gas fireplace and bar. Additionally, the lodge boasts a private hot tub.
Marine Lodge:+

  • Facilities: Boasting a marine theme in shades of blue and yellow, underpinned by dark wood furniture, Marine Lodge has an undeniably nautical ambience, with touches such as model boats and images of yachts adorning the white walls. Located near to the dock and boasting huge picture windows in the lounge, this is a perfect lodge to watch the seaplanes and pleasure craft transporting guests to and fro. Comfortable sofas in shades of blue tartan, a gas fireplace, dark wood furniture (including a dining table and chairs seating up to six guests) and a hardwood floor are features of the open-plan living area, while the bedrooms are simply furnished and decorated in a complementary colour palette to the lounge, with queen-size beds and dark wood furniture a common theme. The rooms extend out over the water, allowing guests to enjoy the sounds of the gently lapping water and comings and goings of the dock, while the lodge also boasts a deck, thoughtfully placed above the water and replete with a hot tub.
Arbutus Lodge:+

  • Facilities: Arbutus Lodge has an alpine wilderness theme to its modern decor, with tastefully furnished public rooms and guest suites constructed from materials such as wood, stone and slate and decorated in soft botanical shades of green, cream, white and terracotta. The lodge's spacious guest lounge features double-height wood-framed windows which maximise the views of the natural surroundings, a vaulted ceiling, comfortable sofas and chairs, a huge slate and stone fireplace, coffee table, flat-screen television and a maple floor. Outdoors, there is a garden patio and rooftop balconies with hot tubs.

    Each guest suite boasts complementary decor and offers a king-size or queen-size bed dressed in goosedown duvets and pillows encased in 300-thread-count linens, a seating area, maple floor, gas fireplace, picture windows and spacious en suite bathrooms appointed with slated floors featuring underfloor heating, a walk-in glass-enclosed shower and a deep-soaking bath.
Bute Lodge:+

  • Facilities: Bute Lodge has a West Coast nature theme to its modern decor, with stylish public rooms and guest suites constructed from materials such as wood, stone and slate and decorated in soft botanical shades of cranberry, green and sandstone. The lodge's guest lounge features double-height wood-framed windows which offer views of Stuart Island, a vaulted ceiling, comfortable leather sofas and fabric-covered chairs, a slate and stone gas fireplace, coffee table, flat-screen television and a carpeted floor.

    Each of the four guest suites boasts complementary decor and offers one or two queen-size beds dressed in goosedown duvets and pillows encased in 300-thread-count linens, a seating area, wooden floor, gas fireplace (in three of the four suites), picture windows revealing stunning views and an en suite bathroom. Three of the suites are accessed via a hallway, while one is accessed directly from the lounge.
Coho Lodge:+

  • Facilities: Boasting a West Coast Native theme and furniture made of pine and cedar, the bijou Coho Lodge has a red and sandstone-coloured decor and comprises just two en suite guest rooms and a lounge featuring a sofa and chairs, a coffee table, kitchenette and a stereo. One of the bedrooms has a queen-size bed, while the other has twin beds, making it ideal for a family.
Gillard Lodge:+

  • Facilities: This spacious, imposing lodge is set right next to the water and is constructed of stone and timber with a decor of muted greens, cream and sandstone. Its spacious main lounge is almost entirely surrounded by double-height floor-to-ceiling windows - with a terrace beyond - and features maple hardwood flooring, a huge slate fireplace, comfortable sofas and chairs and a flat-screen television. Each king or queen guest suite offers complementary decor and boasts a slate gas fireplace, luxurious bed linen, picture windows and a spacious bathroom with a heated slate floor, glass-enclosed walk-in shower and a deep-soaking bath.
Haida Lodge:+

  • Facilities: Occupying a superb location at the resort, Yuculta Lodge effortlessly melds slate, stone and wood to create  stylish, modern accommodation for its guests. Decorated throughout in tones of soft fern green, sandstone and cream, the spacious bedrooms feature king-size or queen-size beds (dressed with goosedown pillows and duvets encased in luxurious bed linen) and have hardwood floors, fireplaces, flat-screen televisions, seating areas, en suite bathrooms with walk-in showers, baths and granite floors, and floor-to-ceiling windows revealing spectacular views of the ocean and mountains. In the guest lounge, you'll find floor-to-ceiling windows, a granite floor covered with a huge rug, comfortable seating, a falt-screen television and a cosy fireplace. Additionally, there is a hot tub large enough to comfortably seat eight guests and positioned to offer fantastic views of the scenery.
Presidential Lodge:+

  • Facilities: The spacious two-bedroom Presidential Lodge offers luxurious accommodation perfect for a family of four. Boasting a palette of creams, taupe and dark wood furniture throughout, the lodge comprises a split level lounge and dining area boasting comfortable seating areas, a flat-screen television, fireplace and a glass-walled room housing a Jacuzzi. Upstairs, across from the galleried landing, there is a tastefully furnished king-size Master Bedroom with an en suite bathroom and a second bedroom with a king-size bed that can be converted into twin beds, if required.
Sea Lion Pointe Lodge:+

  • Facilities: Nestled on its own peninsula, the contemporary Sea Lion Pointe Lodge is, perhaps, the most visually alluring of all the accommodation at Sonora Resort, enjoying a spectacular secluded location - surrounded by pine trees - and equally spectacular architecture and decor. Constructed from stone, timber and slate, the decor is awash with botanical hues of soft greens, chocolate and cream, underscored by hardwood cedar and slate floors. No expense has been spared with this luxurious residence, whose four luxury suites may be booked individually or together (offering refined accommodation for a group of friends or a family). The stunning double-height Great Room is the centrepiece and hub of the property and boasts a sweeping staircase, bijou grand piano, large fireplace, comfortable sofas and huge floor-to-ceiling windows which reveal a large furnished terrace overlooking the splendid Innes Passage. Elsewhere in the downstairs area, you'll find a spacious, fully equipped high-end kitchen and a separate dining room, while outdoors there is a covered al fresco dining area on the terrace. Upstairs, on the mezzanine level, there is a billiards room, cinema room and a wet bar to accompany the four en suite bedrooms, which each feature a king-size bed, luxurious bed linens and an en suite bathroom with a bath overlooking the ocean.

    Two lovely features of the lodge are the abundance of original artwork and design from no fewer than eleven local west coast artisans, while priviledged guests also enjoy the benefit of a host of staff at their beckon call, whether that's preparing a private breakfast in the state-of-the-art kitchen or booking a massage.

Each guest suite has fabulous oceanfront views from its floor-to-ceiling windows, a king-size bed, seating area, gas fireplace and a spacious en suite bathroom (some also have furnished balconies). The lodge would be perfect for a large family or a group of friends wishing to enjoy an exclusive, sophisticated wilderness experience and comes with its own staff, including a Chef.
