If you haven’t yet discovered the meaning of relaxation, then you've got a good chance of finding it at the contemporary Titilaka Hotel. Standing remotely within four acres beside South America’s largest lake, Lake Titicaca, and on its very own windswept peninsula, Titilaka Hotel is a boutique hotel framed by a natural landscape of rolling countryside and the serenely beautiful lake. It boasts just eighteen guest rooms and guests can select from Dawn or Dusk Rooms, King Rooms or the popular Corner Rooms and leave the curtains ajar for beautiful views. The entire hotel offers floor-to-ceiling windows, a muted, earthly décor with flashes of vibrant colour and local indigenous artwork, while rooms feature luxurious king-size beds sharing floor space with over-sized baths. Additionally, there is a dining room, two private beaches, a media and games room, three lounges, a massage room, boutique, wraparound terraces and a wine cellar, while a spa and indoor pool are in the pipeline. A dozen private excursions are led by local guides and include village visits, boat trips, mountain-biking and trips to the fascinating Uros Reed Islands.
